Rockwell Automation, Inc., the biggest firm focused on industrial automation and digital transformation globally, is enhancing its Advanced Technology team by establishing a new research laboratory in Prague, Czech Republic. The Advanced Technology team's goal is not just to assist Rockwell in launching new products and services, but also to enhance the entire automation sector by providing strong thought leadership and actively engaging with the standards and academic community.
The Prague team will strive to meet expected customer demands, confirm the future of Rockwell offerings, and pinpoint possibilities and constraints of emerging technologies. The findings from their research will be essential elements in product and service development and will greatly enhance Rockwell's intellectual property portfolio.
"Our Advanced Technology team is a key part of Rockwell's innovation ecosystem, helping to translate emerging technical concepts and identify potential industrial applications," said Kyle Crum, director, Advanced Technology.
The new laboratory will enhance research and technological capacity at Rockwell's current site in Prague. The group will work alongside local universities to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices to develop the cutting-edge technologies of the future.
"Prague is a great location for research because we already have established relationships in the region and can extend this to universities focused on autonomous intelligent systems," said Crum. "We're looking forward to deepening our relationships in Europe and helping all our customers become more resilient, agile, and sustainable.
