Amazon in Talks with Disney About ESPN Streaming Agreement

According to the Information, which cited people familiar with the situation, Amazon and Walt Disney Co. are in preliminary discussions about working together to develop the streaming version of ESPN and possibly acquiring a minority investment in the sports network. Disney and ESPN are still deciding on an appropriate price for the new service as per the source. 
 
ESPN is thinking about charging between $20 and $35 a month for the new streaming service, which would make it the most costly one available in the United States, According to sources. Robert Iger, CEO of Disney, said in July that his business wants to maintain ESPN and is searching for strategic partners to create a joint venture with or purchase a stake in the sports network in order to bring it closer to customers.
 
Amazon Prime Video, also known as just Prime Video, is a paid over-the-top streaming and renting service available in the United States that may be accessed separately or as part of an Amazon Prime subscription. 
 
The Disney Entertainment division of The Walt Disney Company owns and runs Disney+, an American over-the-top subscription video service.
