Infosys, India's second-largest
IT services provider, has launched a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate
cloud transformation in financial institutions around Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
“The three-year collaboration will deliver technology transformation and industry-specific solutions to financial organisations supported by joint investments into go-to-market and delivery capabilities across the EMEA region,” Infosys said in a statement.
This comes a week after Infosys announced its new proximity center in Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of its growth expansion in Europe for global opportunities around next-gen digital technologies. Infosys is seeing increasing growth in Europe with the second quarter ending September witnessing about 5% revenue growth in constant currency year-on-year as against a muted growth in the US, as per economic times.
As the IT major's presence in the European business sector grows, Infosys and AWS will collaborate to develop go-to-market strategies and make joint investments over the next three years.
“AWS is a pioneer in cloud innovation, and by bringing together our expertise in delivering technology transformation at scale and our unwavering customer-centric approach… By leveraging Infosys Cobalt's industry cloud solutions, assets and frameworks, we are committed to helping financial organisations accelerate their business outcomes,” said Dennis Gada, executive vice president, global head of banking and financial services, Infosys.
Both companies want to accelerate the expansion of existing large-scale transformations, as well as collaborate with
fintech partners to bring new cloud-based solutions to market and engage in co-innovation to create new goods and services.
Customers will benefit from AWS transformational
cloud services, Infosys domain knowledge and delivery, and Infosys capital markets expertise to transform business models and modernize applications, resulting in operational efficiency.
