Google To Fund USD 2 billion in Data Centre and Cloud services

Google, a US based technology firm, will contribute $2 billion in Malaysia to foster its mfirst data centre and Google Cloud region in the nation, the unit of Alphabet added on Thursday, the most recent in a rush of extension by worldwide tech firms into Southeast Asia. 
 
The higher authority said the funding would propel Malaysia's digital aspirations, and the artificial intelligence (AI) abilities and other trend setting innovations would assist nearby industry with climbing the worldwide value chain.
 
With a youthful well informed population of 670 million, Southeast Asia has been luring a lot of revenue and speculation as of late from technology companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia and Apple.
 
Google said in an explanation the data centre and cloud region will be situated in Sime Darby Property's Elmina Business Park in focal Selangor state.
 
The data centre will strengthen administrations including Search, Maps and Work area, and will assist with conveying AI services, while the cloud place will offer administrations to nearby firms and public area organisations, it said.
 
"Malaysia and Google are partnering to advance our shared work to create a supportive ecosystem for innovation and unlock the potential of digital transformation," Google's Chief Financial Officer Ruth Porat said in the statement.
