Servotech Power Systems said that it has received an order from state-owned refiner Bharat Petroleum Corporation for 2,649
electric vehicle (EV) chargers. However, the value of the order was not disclosed in the company's announcement.
"Servotech Power Systems Ltd, the leading manufacturer of EV Chargers in the country, has bagged 2,649 AC EV charger orders from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL)," it stated.
According to the statement, the company will be responsible for manufacturing, supplying and installing 2,649 AC EV Chargers strategically across the nation, equipping petrol pumps in major Indian cities under the BPCL E-drive Project, playing a key role in the widespread implementation of EV charging solutions, as per economic times.
For this project, EV chargers with capacities of 3 kW and 7 kW are available. Manufacturing and manufacture of these AC chargers has already begun, and delivery will begin on December 15th and be finished in three months.
Previously, Servotech Power Systems and BPCL collaborated to revolutionize the
E-Mobility environment. In addition, for BPCL's E-drive initiative, the business provided and installed 800 sets of 30 KW DC rapid EV Chargers at various places around the nation.
It will be in charge of the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of AC EV chargers, and the initiative's goal is to create e-mobility touchpoints that streamline transactions, improve availability, facilitate discovery, and simplify navigation for EV users, ensuring convenient access to the
EV charging network.
