Organizations of all sizes realize at some point that they need to address their strategic/operation-al & analytical reporting mess. The path to this moment of reckoning is most times unpleasant & could be due to one or more of the following reasons:· External regulators questioning reports' accuracy due to factual omissions / errors· Executive leadership not confident in the top of the house reporting rollup metrics· Analytical reports are not reliable· Business Operations team maintain their shadow IT teams to infuse additional data/aggregate points locally outside of the reporting ecosystem before republishing reports· Too many Excel and Access databases circulating across the enterprise as reports · Too many reports in the inventory with many outdated yet actively used· Multiple BI tools delivering similar but not reconciling metrics / measures· Platform not able to scale to mature market trends i.e. Analytics, AI/ML capabilitiesThe list goes on and on. Point is the forward thinkers among us need to feel the pulse of the organization to avoid above situations at any / all costs.
