Adoption of Green Technology for achieving sustainability goals for enterprises is imperative; GreenIT- Junction, a Conference highlighting green technology to be held in Pune on 12th October 2023.

“There is no substitute for sus- tainability”. Awareness amongst en- terprises needs to be increased and also have platform to bring forward green technology, practise and so- lutions aiding them to fast-track their journey towards sustainability. EcoI- TCon, an organisation focusing on issues relating to the environmental impact of technology will host Gre- enITJunction, a daylong conference focussed on sustainable software and IT.

With the rise of technologies like smartphones, AI, digital currencies etc, the digital domain has become all pervasive in our lives. With it comes the hidden cost of energy usage that drives all these technologies. It is estimated that, by 2040, the communications and information technology sectors could be responsible for as much as 14% of the world’s carbon emissions. On this background, the issues of climate change and concern about sustainability in technology in general and IT in particular are gaining ever increasing prominence.

‘EcoITCon’ is a global community initiative that brings together professionals from industry and academia to foster discussions on ecological impact of technology and to provide a platform for ideas and approaches towards mitigating such impact.

The ‘GreenITJunction’ conference, an initiative of EcoITCon, unites experts in technology and sustainability, both from the industry as well as academia to explore the sustainable use and ecological impact of software, with esteemed industry leaders advising and guiding the conference. Through a diverse range of sessions, attendees explore various topics related to sustainability in software.

‘GreenITJunction’ aims to serve as a platform for collective learning, inspiration, and action, empowering participants to make a tangible positive change for a greener future.
