Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming technology expenditures and fostering expansion in the IT industry. Sudhir Singh, CEO of Coforge added FE how AI has positively influenced demand and enabled the company’s growth trajectory. “AI has had a very positive impact on tech spend and, by extension, addressable demand. This has been pivotal in driving our pace of growth,” he said.

Although individual AI projects are still relatively small, Singh pointed out that the majority of AI efforts are part of broader, data-centric initiatives. Coforge has made significant contributions to AI by developing scalable data pipelines, evaluating clients' data maturity, vectorizing data, and establishing infrastructure for the deployment of AI models. These initiatives are closely connected to developing trends such as large language models (LLMs) and “LLM in a box” options.

Coforge's exclusive AI platform — Quasar — is crucial to these advancements. Quasar, a tech-neutral platform for agentic AI, consists of 32 submodules that cater to different use cases, most of which utilize agentic AI technology. Global capability centers (GCCs) continue to be a fundamental part of Coforge's strategy. Singh mentioned that GCCs account for around 10% of the firm's revenue.

“We engage with GCCs through diverse models like build-operate-transfer, joint ventures and augmentative support. For example, we recently helped a client establish an 800-person centre in Hyderabad and ramped up another AI-driven GCC to 400 people in three months for a Fortune 10 client,” he said.
