Ananant Systems, a start-up specializing in
wireless systems and semiconductors, is collaborating with major
telecom equipment manufacturers to locally develop chips for the 5G network Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. plans to roll out, as the company CEO.
The firm said it is seeking to address the growing prerequisites for cutting-edge network, processing, and security for remote 5G and 6G infrastructure and devices. Its contributions incorporate intellectual property (IP), chip plans, semiconductor items, programming, and frameworks, all created and owned in India.
"We have an innovative architecture with a value proposition to reduce cost to one-third and power consumption to one-third compared to the competition, with AI inference ready for advanced 5G and 6G," Chitranjan Singh said. "So, we'll provide them chips with the physical layer algorithm and software and they will do the system which will ultimately play out with BSNL."
High levels 5G and 6G will be only a software overhaul without the requirement for change in equipment, he said.
"We are working on infrastructure," Singh said. "In our first year, our focus will be base stations for infrastructure. And then at a later point of the first year and second year, we will get into the devices side of things. That's where our designed chips will go into smart meters for 4G chips or 5G for handsets."
Singh stated that the company's alignment with local partners, including its most recent membership in the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), aims to promote self-reliance and establish India as a global leader in
wireless technology.
