Apixio, a provider of artificial intelligence that helps health plans and provider organisations deliver value-based care, announced the completion of its merger with ClaimLogiq, a provider of healthcare technology that saves money for health plans by lowering claim errors before payment. The united company will be known as Apixio.

The merger establishes a market-leading healthcare analytics and data company that uses clinical and financial data to minimise reimbursement errors, lower overall healthcare costs, and improve patient experience for health plans and provider networks. The company is powered by an advanced AI-driven platform. New Mountain Capital ("New Mountain"), a top growth-oriented investment company with more than $37 billion in assets under management, is supporting the transaction.

By lowering costs, minimising claim adjudication errors, and improving the delivery of both payments and care, Apixio and ClaimLogiq's critical infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and proprietary healthcare data will work together to hasten the transition towards outcomes-based reimbursement models. In order to continue creating cutting-edge solutions for both payer and risk-bearing provider customers, the merged firm will have more than 280 workers, and the seasoned leadership teams of Apixio and ClaimLogiq will work together. Sachin Patel, the current CEO of Apixio, will take over as the new CEO of the combined company, while Tom Magnotta, the current CEO of ClaimLogiq, will take over as President and Chief Operating Officer.

“With the completion of Apixio’s merger with ClaimLogiq, our combined platform will serve as a compelling offering for the nation’s leading health plans and provider groups,” commented Sachin Patel. “Apixio’s healthcare expertise and cutting-edge application of natural language processing enables us to improve the clinical, operational and financial outcomes for our customers and the patients they serve.”
