Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Bio Technology and S&T of the Karnataka Government is organizing the 23rd edition of the state’s flagship event – Bengaluru Tech Summit 2020. The event is set to be conducted between 19th and 21st of November. For global pandemic challenges remain a constant fear, the summit will be conducted virtually and central theme is aptly selected as – ‘Next is Now’, which highlights the significance of advancing future at the accelerated pace and the requisite of preparedness by innovations and technological interventions. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi ji, is ready to inaugurate the summit virtually and address the gathering.
It is the fourth consecutive year, where the two flagship events of Karnataka Bengaluru IT.biz and Bengaluru India Bio are to be conducted under one umbrella of Bengaluru Tech Summit. It signifies the requirement for synergies among the different streams of science and technologies.
Featuring multi-track Conference, International Exhibition, Global Innovation Alliance, STPI-IT Export Awards, Smart Bio Awards and Bengaluru Impact Awards, the summit consists of other popular programmes for students which are Rural IT Quiz, Biotech Quiz, and Biotech Posters. The events will all be conducted virtually, and for the first time, India Bio Segment will feature BioPartnering by collaborating with Inova Partnering Tool, which are the global leaders in facilitating pre-scheduled business meetings.
Addressing over 250 domain experts, which includes 80+ global personalities, the summit will focus on the most disruptive technologies and innovations in the globe under the major four themes, which are Knowledge Hub, Innovation Corner, One Health and Country Sessions. Some of the key focus areas of the summit include - Aerospace and defense Technologies, Healthcare, Future of Work, and Startup for Public Good, Electronics & Semi-Conductor, Reimagining Digital Health and COVID-19 Pandemic Preparedness.
Featuring 16 countries, the Global Innovation Alliance will conduct country sessions, namely Canada, Finland, France, Israel, Netherland, UK, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Taiwan, Switzerland, Denmark, Bahrain, Japan, and Lithonia. These countries will participate with their delegations in the conference sessions, exhibition, and B2B meetings. It is expected to partner with the summit and the Government of Karnataka for several initiatives.
There will be 70+ sessions from 250 world class speakers, where international exhibition will consist of 250+ exhibitors from Startups, IT and Biotech majors, R&D and academic institutes, exhibiting their services, products and technologies to 4000+ delegates, 20000+ business visitors.
Under the supervision of Vision Groups on IT, Biotech and Startups, consisting of senior Industry Captains and R&D Head across verticals, the summit will be conducted, where for the first time International Advisory Group is also designed adding global perspectives to the conference programme. This even in India is the only event which brings together cross sectoral industry organizations like Nasscom, TiE, ELCIA, IESA, ABAI, ABLE, CLIK and IACC on a common platform.
