One of the fast-growing smartphone brands – Realme on Thursday launched a new initiative – TechLife, where the company will help other budding brands with similar dreams for the development of more versatile technology products in the country.
Realme cemented its position in the Indian market for its Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) products in 2020 and is set for launching a comprehensive AIoT range this year.
The Realme CEO and Vice-President, Realme India and Europe, Madhav Sheth told a renowned media house that the company will be supporting its partners who joined the ‘Realme TechLife’ platform with its products R&D, and supply and quality assurance. The company is leaving the options to onboard the brands for selecting their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners freely.
Madhav Sheth added, “Some brands also have factories. When any brand needs support from a local OEM, Realme will provide all the support in locating the local OEM partners for them, who can help them manufacturing products and provide best quality assurance."
Realme aims for launching 100+ new AIoT and lifestyle products in 2021 which include TWS, affordable smart televisions, smart plugs, trimmers, smart bulbs and others.
Madhav Sheth said that the company received several applications and has started early-stage discussions with multiple companies that are interested in joining Realme ‘TechLife’ project.
Madhav Sheth said that in the near time, consumers will see a plethora of exciting products manufactured by other brands but marked by the 'Realme TechLife' logo.
For being a part of the ‘Realme TechLife’ project, it needs to select products with enough potential with high-user demand, find product concept of high-quality and high value, uniform design language, quality assurance, and internet experience.
Madhav Sheth said that Realme fans’ awaiting for versatile and exciting AIoT product portfolio in the coming months will get over.
Madhav Sheth said "Realme oaths to be No 1 in smart audio brand, which includes TWS and neckband and no 1 in the smartwatch category."
Madhav Sheth continued, "For a beginning, there will be new generations of ‘Realme’ best sellers in 2021 which are Realme Buds Air, Realme Buds Q, Realme smart TV, etc."
IDC states that Realme Watch was among the most shipped devices in India in the last two quarters, with a market share of 21.3 percent and 24.1 percent in Q2 and Q3 in respective years.
