Cloud Strategy Driving Business Innovation Says HCLtech

As per HCLTech businesses want to increase their investments in cloud technology in the coming year, as interest in generative artificial intelligence (genAI) grows. According to the survey report, 34% of firms that have already adopted genAI planned to boost usage over the following 12 months. 24% of those who do not presently use genAI plan to do so in the coming year. Furthermore, 85% of senior executives polled acknowledged the relevance of cloud in allowing genAI.

The survey also revealed the relevance of the cloud in allowing organizations to switch tactics quickly. According to the report, most executives have had to pivot their business strategies at least twice in the last three years. Without cloud, 87% claimed they would not have been able to make substantial pivots in the last year.  
 
“Spend is increasing,” said Alan Flower, executive vice president, ecosystem, HCLTech. “Adoption of a cloud native posture puts clients in a perfect position to now accelerate their adoption of AI,” he added.
 
Based on a report, 91% of firms used the cloud to accomplish their sustainability goals, and 87% used it to address pandemic-related personnel and supply chain challenges.
 
“A cloud native posture is inherently more sustainable and efficient,” Flower said, adding that it enables businesses to design and build more efficient and elastic applications more quickly than before.
 
“Clients now uniformly view the cloud as a platform for innovation and agility going forward,” Flower said.
