Nella Domenici will join Cognizant's Board of Directors (the "Board") as an independent director on February 21, 2023, the company stated. The Cognizant Board will grow to 13 members, including 12 independents, upon the start of Ms. Domenici's tenure, which will start concurrently with the previously announced appointment of Eric Branderiz.

"We are pleased to welcome a financial and operations executive of Nella's caliber to the Cognizant Board," said Stephen Rohleder, Chair of the Board. "Nella's insights into the capital markets and the institutional investor community will allow her to contribute immediately. Additionally, her background driving strategy for high quality technology and investment firms, combined with her deep M&A and board leadership experience, will prove valuable assets for Cognizant as we continue to prioritize growth across the business."

As part of its continuous refreshment effort, the Board is still working to balance the skills and tenures of its directors as best it can. The Board has chosen six new independent directors in the last four years, including Ms. Domenici.

Ms. Domenici, 62, provides a wealth of knowledge in capital markets, business strategy, and strategic finance management. She most recently held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Management Committee at Dataminr, a pioneering artificial intelligence business that identifies new hazards from information that is readily available to the public.

Ms. Domenici was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Operating Committee at Bridgewater Associates before joining Dataminr. Bridgewater Associates is a leader in institutional portfolio management and the biggest hedge fund in the world. Additionally, Ms. Domenici has held top financial and strategic roles at other well-known businesses like Citadel Investment Group, Credit Suisse, and the Monitor Consulting Group.

She currently sits on the AllianceBernstein Holding LP board of directors, and from May 2020 to October 2022, she was a member of the Change Healthcare Inc. board. She graduated with honours as a Baker Scholar with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
