The industrial investment firm Orkla has an expanded working partnership with the IT company Cognizant. For Orkla IT to be positioned for a future operating model that is necessary for the business transformation of the Orkla-affiliated firms, Cognizant will modernise the delivery model.
As per the release, Orkla and Cognizant have deepened their partnership, with the statement stating that the activity is focused on brands and consumer-oriented businesses.
The legal partner on behalf of Orkla shall be Orkla IT AS.
Since 2013, Cognizant and Orkla have collaborated on various digital transformation projects. Cognizant has been a longtime advisor to Orkla. These include continuing IT assistance as well as thought leadership in areas such as public cloud, security, SAP, and the digital workplace.
The statement went on to say that by enhancing managed capacity, SAP and infrastructure services will also be able to continuously evolve and improve, allowing Orkla IT to be completely aligned with present and future business prospects.
"As digitalisation continues to evolve, it is evident that a modern, secure, and agile way of IT deliveries serves our companies and customers," Geir Olav Nistad, CEO of Orkla IT AS, said.
The transition to cloud-based business models, according to Anne-Sofie Risasen, Head of Nordics and Baltics at Cognizant, positions organisations for a more advanced, adaptable, and safe IT infrastructure.
"We are thrilled to be extending our long-standing relationship with Orkla as their trusted advisor by enabling both a transformative cloud migration and enhanced operational IT services. Cognizant's solutions will help Orkla's IT services to be more cost-effective, stable, and meet the wider business needs both now, and in the future," Risasen added.
Owned and operated by Orkla, Orkla IT provides IT support to its portfolio companies and business segments.
