Dassault Systemes' hackathon to boost drone innovation in India

Today, the French 3Dexperience major Dassault Systemes announced a virtual hackathon in India for inspiring students, startups, budding entrepreneurs, and industrial companies for driving UAV and drone innovations.

Titled as ‘Drone-a-thon: Propelling Sustainability’, the 10-days challenge will seek ideas from young minds from October 19-31, who can be tomorrow’s innovators and entrepreneurs in the Indian UAV sector.

Selected top 10 teams will be eligible for the challenge, which will start from November 9 and end on November 20. Experts from Dassault Systemes will work with the contestants on their designs using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

In a statement released, the company said, “This will be followed by selection of the top three teams who will get an opportunity to present their design in Dassault Systemes' '3DEXPERIENCE Conference 2020 India' on November 25."

For the suitable sectors like agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, defense, and logistics, the contestants will face challenge to create UAV prototypes for these sectors.

In Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru, Dassault Systemes has two competency centres, which are working on bringing alike centres in Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.

Over 2,000 people are employed in the company’s India branch, which has R&D centres in Pune and Bengaluru.

With the French 3D software major Dassault Systemes’ investment in India will be expanding highly valuable research and development and innovation facilities in the country for creating the future workforce.
