To increase web3 games' awareness and adoption among traditional gamers, Square Enix and Elixir Games, the top web3 gaming distribution platform, have formed a strategic alliance. Through a platform that conceals web3 technology and gives the traditional player an easy, seamless experience, the alliance will let millions of gamers discover high-quality web3 games.
Since 2021, the Elixir Platform has dominated the open web3 market as a distributor of PC games. Elixir has incorporated traditional game distribution as a result of a recent integration with Epic Games and has emerged as the main platform for the distribution of web2 and web3 desktop games.
Square Enix, which has already engaged in investments and relationships with significant companies in the field, is continuing to be at the forefront of international publishers adopting web3 gaming with its cooperation with Elixir.
With the assumption that blockchain games would enter a new stage of growth in 2023, Square Enix, who along with Sino Global Capital co-led Elixir Games' most recent financing seed round in December 2022, has established a strong web3 gaming investment strategy.
