Everlaw, a
cloud-native investigative and litigation platform, has established a
multi-year strategic agreement with CodexTen, a supplier of litigation execution management services. CodexTen's services combine Everlaw's #1 ediscovery software platform with CodexTen's technical skills to provide law firms with top-tier evidence discovery and courtroom assistance. CodexTen is a sponsor of the Everlaw Summit, which is being hosted in San Francisco through October 12 to highlight legal advancements.
"Choosing to build our business around Everlaw was one of the best decisions we ever made," said Clayton Romero, co-founder of CodexTen. "The platform is fantastic at helping us find insights and organize a compelling story, and collaborate with other legal advisors in real-time."
Tech skills and insights can make or break a case. When solo practitioners and smaller firms face larger opponents,
advanced technology plus skills not only can level the playing field but also tilt it for an advantage, as per Everlaw.
"CodexTen co-founders are experts on Everlaw and use the platform as a strategic differentiator in service of their clients' cases," said Rich Liu, chief revenue officer, Everlaw. "They can outmaneuver and speed ahead of bigger opponents."
Based on the Everlaw platform, CodexTen provides customers with increased agility in deposition support, jury selection, and document review. Everlaw Storybuilder, which helps organize evidence and cooperate across numerous parties and longer durations, is fundamental to this effort.
In Storybuilder, for example, CodexTen has compiled legally acceptable screen shots acquired from social media to assist with jury selection so that they have all the context at their fingertips to exhibit authentic insights in real-time. Everlaw's
AI-based predictive coding is also used by CodexTen to discover illusive 'hot docs' buried in hundreds of thousands of documents.
