EY To Hire 9K Skilled People In AI, ML In India Next Year

EY, one of the leading global professional services organziations on Thursday said that it will recruit 9,000 professionals in India in 2021 with skills in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Analytics, and related emerging technologies.

Emphasis on STEM background professionals will be completed in all member firms which include global deliver centres for expansion of its digital capabilities. It will help organizations solving their complex end-to-end business transformation challenges, stated in the company statement release.

Presently, EY has 50,000 people working in all member firms in global deliver centers.

Rohan Sachdev, Partner and Consulting Practice Leader, EY India, said, “With the pace of digital adoption accelerating exponentially, we are strengthening capabilities in emerging technology roles and significantly intensifying our hiring efforts in the coming year.”

At the moment, there is about 36 percent of all EY India employees have STEM background.

 Mahesh Makhija, Partner and Technology Consulting Leader, EY India, said, “We are using our sector knowledge to deliver tailored digital solutions and services to support our clients’ transformation plans and leveraging the managed services model to help them navigate the volatility.”

EY has launched the ‘EY Techathon 2021: #iSolve4aBillion Challenge’ which aims for engaging the best technology minds in India.

EY is inviting university students from all disciplines for coming forward and develop novel solutions for immunizing Indians, considered the challenges of the country’s vast geography, demographics, and infrastructure.

The participants will work with latest technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and gamification, for development of a model immunization programme in different spheres of supply chain, delivery, monitoring, and vaccination.
