Foxconn's EV Consortium To Utilize BlackBerry's Software

BlackBerry declared that the Mobility in Harmony (MIH) consortium, which is led by Foxconn, has chosen it to supply software and certain services. The consortium will be using BlackBerry's QNX for vehicles operating system and the IVY automotive artificial intelligence platform. Major suppliers and automakers using these systems include Tata Motors from India and LG Energy Solution from South Korea. The processing and archiving of data obtained from sensors mounted on the electric vehicle (EV) platforms created by MIH will be facilitated by these technologies.
 
The introduction of Project X, an electric vehicle platform designed exclusively for Asian consumers and slated to debut in Japan by the end of 2023, is one of the interesting projects MIH has in the works. In addition, they intend to soon release platforms for six- and nine-seater vehicles, all of which will be run by BlackBerry's cutting-edge software. 
 
It is noteworthy that well-known automakers like Ford, General Motors, and Toyota have already embraced BlackBerry's QNX embedded operating system. In fact, BlackBerry's dependable technology is currently incorporated into almost 235 million cars globally.
