Gcore Inks Strategic Venture With NHN Cloud To Propel Edge and Cloud Innovation

A strategic partnership is announced between Gcore, a supplier of high-performance, low-latency, global cloud and edge solutions, and NHN Cloud, a division of the South Korean technology and gaming juggernaut NHN Group. Leading providers of both public and private cloud services in South Korea and the Asia Pacific region include NHN Cloud. 
 
According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Gcore will use the NHN Cloud to penetrate the Asia Pacific market by providing businesses in that region with access to its cutting-edge cloud services, including CDN (Content Delivery Network), 5G eSIM, and accelerated AI processing. In return, Gcore will function as a gateway for customers in the Asia Pacific region and be NHN Cloud's strategic partner in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
 
The MOU also creates a structure for the two companies' joint development of novel solutions and collaboration on business initiatives.
 
NHN Cloud runs a number of online businesses, including the South Korean gaming portal Hangame, which has over 37 million gamers, the payment gateway and digital wallet service NHN Payco, and the online marketplace FashionGo.
 
Since almost ten years, Gcore has been creating the most effective and complete edge and cloud services in Europe. Gcore's infrastructure currently consists of 140 points of presence throughout the world and more than 11,000 peering partners.
