As per HCLTech, their partnership with Microsoft has grown to include offering high-performance computing (HPC) solutions to customers across a range of industries. Over the course of three years, HCLTech intends to train 3,000 experts and partner with Microsoft to establish a dedicated lab-cum-centre of excellence (CoE). The solutions will make use of Microsoft's Azure cloud HPC technology and the superior engineering services experience of HCLTech. Client access to HPC resources, including core infrastructure, advanced analytics, machine learning, and simulations, will be the main goal of the collaboration.
"By combining Microsoft’s expertise with HCLTech’s CloudSMART, we will offer customers a powerful combination of advanced engineering services and cloud technologies to help them manage complex hybrid infrastructure," said Ajit Moodliar, senior vice-president and global head, Microsoft Ecosystem Business Unit, HCLTech.
Early-stage research and development projects will be nurtured by the partnership in order to advance chances for HPC solutions for clients in diverse industries.
"HPC is widely used in many industries and is becoming increasingly important as organisations look to gain insights from vast amounts of data and drive innovation to become more efficient," said Nidhi Chappell, GM, Azure HPC AI, Microsoft.
