India, Japan Explore Partnership in Semiconductors & Digital Public Infra

The 15th India-Japan Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue was held by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Japan's Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi. They looked into prospective areas for working together in crucial and developing technologies, such as semiconductors, resilient supply chains, and digital public infrastructure, among others.
 
Reviewing the developments in the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership was made possible by the meeting. The Ministers had in-depth conversations about a variety of topics with bilateral, regional, and international significance. They emphasized the significance of further fostering the connection between India and Japan based on common values and ideals.
 
The Ministers stressed the significance of meeting the goal of 5 trillion JPY in Japanese investments in India between 2022 and 2027. Additionally, the Ministers underlined their delight with the growing defense and security cooperation, which includes frequent training sessions and staff meetings across the three agencies. They talked about the best course of action for advancing defense equipment and technology cooperation in this area.
 
The Ministers also talked about how to encourage the transfer of skilled labor from India to Japan. The Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India and Japan will be strengthened, both countries pledged during their Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue. The meeting paved the way for improved regional and international cooperation while further deepening bilateral partnership.
