At the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2023, Mastercard, a leading global payments and technology corporation, will debut a web3-focused incubator in collaboration with Polygon. This incubator will allow artists interact with followers through a new medium.

TechCrunch claims that the new web3 project will give up-and-coming musicians the web3 tools and abilities to help them interact with their audience.

A blockchain platform called Polygon links and expands blockchain networks. Its objective is to create an Ethereum-compatible multi-chain blockchain environment.

"The core of this programme is providing emerging artists with the web3 tools and skills they need to excel and advance their music careers in this digital economy," Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard, was quoted as saying.

"By providing access to experts and innovators in the space, the artists will be guided on how to incorporate web3 into their work throughout the entire program and then beyond," he added.

Participating artists will be able to create communities, mint NFTs, and represent themselves in virtual environments after they join the incubator.

"We see that web3 holds tremendous promise for artists and creators to create, own and monetise their content, but only if they know how to leverage it," said Rajamannar.

A JPEG image, piece of art, or virtual avatar ownership proof is represented by an NFT, a blockchain-based file. As a means of demonstrating ownership of songs or videos, artists might provide NFTs to their fans.
