Maxeon Solar Technologies names Matt Dawson as CTO

Matt Dawson will start working at Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MAXN), a leader in solar innovation and distribution, on March 20, 2023. He will hold the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Dawson will be in charge of directing technological innovation and development, defining the company's new technology strategic roadmap, and managing the research and development (R&D) division internationally. Matt Dawson will answer directly to CEO Bill Mulligan as a senior member of the executive team.

Matt Dawson is a technology executive with more than 15 years of experience creating and deploying products across the solar energy value chain. He has a track record of scaling innovation from the R&D stage to volume manufacturing and achieving success in challenging business situations. At the most recent position, Dawson had, Sila Nanotechnologies, a privately held Silicon Valley firm working to scale up the production of an inventive silicon anode material for cutting-edge high-performance batteries, served as vice president of technology.
 
He formerly held a number of executive positions at SunPower Corporation, where he was promoted to vice president of research and development in 2019 and given responsibility for the organization's R&D lab infrastructure, technology strategy, and product development for cells and modules.
