Microsoft & NUS Enterprise Partner to Accelerate AI Innovation

At Microsoft's AI Tour, over 600 executives from top Singaporean companies convened to gain knowledge of the most recent developments in artificial intelligence. The private event is a part of a global series that highlights Microsoft's commitment to providing cloud, data, and device solutions that will enable businesses of all sizes, from startups to corporations, to thrive in the AI era.

During the event, Microsoft Singapore discussed how their AI Pinnacle Program is revolutionizing key industries. This includes introducing agentic AI, growing the usage of Copilot, and co-innovating to develop customized AI solutions. Microsoft and NUS Enterprise, the National University of Singapore's (NUS) entrepreneurial wing, inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a platform that will help startups expand more quickly.

 “Businesses across Singapore are seeing the benefits of generative AI for their bottom-line, and today we shared how AI agents are here to streamline their operations and give them an even more competitive edge. From large multinationals to local industry-leaders and homegrown startups, Microsoft is committed to delivering the cloud and AI technology that Singapore needs to drive innovation and value creation,” Microsoft ASEAN President, Andrea Della Mattea, said.

NUS Enterprise will implement a 2025 "Generative AI Accelerate Programme" through its BLOCK71 incubator as part of the MOU with Microsoft Singapore. This program will accelerate the growth of pre-Series A firms that are developing generative AI Through a 10-week intense program, this initiative will support up to 20 startups by offering them specialized technical and commercial advice, industry expert mentorship, direct access to leaders in the field, and incubation at BLOCK71 offices in Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. These offices are part of BLOCK71's vast global network and a collaborative ecosystem that helps startups thrive.
