Microsoft unveiled new connections and technologies, including a new Copilot solution for the frontline workforce, that provide service professionals the potential of generative AI. Microsoft 365 is currently used by more than 60% of Fortune 500 firms to empower frontline employees, and the software giant is dedicated to investing in cutting-edge technologies to support their success.

"Building on this momentum, Microsoft today introduced new tools and integrations including bringing the power of next-generation AI to the frontline across three key areas to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and enable faster decision making," the company said in a statement.

Intelligent operations, simple communication, and dependable experiences are the main focuses.

"Frontline workers continue to face challenges amid labour and supply chain shortages, and they're not equipped with the tools to do their jobs more intelligently and efficiently," the tech giant said.

One in two frontline employees report feeling burned out at work, according to the most recent Work Trend Index data from the company. Over 60% of frontline workers suffer with having to perform repetitive or menial activities that take time away from more meaningful work and not having the required tools to get their work done quickly, even if 45% are likely to explore switching companies in the upcoming year. Furthermore, 65% of workers believe AI will benefit their careers.

In the meantime, the tech giant had revealed last month that its AI-infused Copilot for Microsoft 365 will now be accessible for commercial accounts for $30 per user per month. The Microsoft 365 Copilot is said to be enterprise-ready since it is based on the company's reputable and complete approach to enterprise-grade security, privacy, identity, compliance, and responsible AI.
