The memorandum of understanding between India and Singapore will facilitate collaboration for enhancing the skills of workers in the
digital field as outlined in the MoU. India and Singapore signed four Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in
digital technologies, semiconductors, health cooperation, and
skill development to enhance their cooperation.
During his visit to Singapore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with a ceremonial welcome upon his arrival at the Parliament House on Thursday.
He encountered Lawrence Wong, the Singapore counterpart, and both delegations engaged in bilateral discussions, after which the Memoranda of Understanding were officially signed. An agreement was signed between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information in Singapore for collaboration in
digital technologies.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India and the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Singapore have entered into a new agreement for the India-Singapore Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership.
India and Singapore will work together on semiconductor cluster development and nurturing talent in semiconductor design and manufacturing as outlined in the agreement.
Singaporean businesses in the global semiconductor industry are interested in making investments in India. The MoU will establish dialogue mechanisms to ease their investments in India.
