NTT and Toyota to Jointly Develop Autonomous Vehicles

NTT, a Japanese telecommunications company, will collaborate with Toyota Motor to create driverless vehicles and will invest in a U.S. startup researching self-driving systems
 
NTT will deliver autonomous buses and taxis by as early as 2025, adding that it will invest about 10 billion yen ($66.91 million) in U.S. transport company May Mobility, based in Michigan, as per  Nikkei business.
 
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation owns NTT Communications Corporation, a Japanese telecommunications business. It has locations in over 70 countries and areas and manages an international network spanning over 190 nations and regions. As of March 2020, the firm employed roughly 5,500 people (NTT Communications Group employed 11,500 people). The company's headquarters are at the Otemachi Place West skyscraper in Otemachi, Chiyoda, Tokyo.
 
NTT Communications Corporation, one of the world's major telecom businesses, was created in July 1999 as a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation. NTT Communications offers network administration, telecommunications services such as VPN, and information and communications technology (ICT) services such as cloud, consulting, and management to businesses and government organizations.
 
Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational automaker based in Toyota City, Aichi, Japan. Kiichiro Toyoda started it and incorporated it on August 28, 1937. Toyota is one of the world's major automakers, producing over 10 million automobiles every year. The firm began as a spinoff of Toyota Industries, a machine manufacturer founded by Kiichiro's father, Sakichi Toyoda. Both enterprises are now part of the Toyota Group, one of the world's largest corporations.
