NuPort Robotics in collaboration with World Trade Centre Pune to make trucking safer in India

NuPort Robotics, a Canadian autonomous trucking company has entered India, setting up its base of operations at Pune in collaboration with the World Trade Centre Pune (WTC Pune). The company aims to make roads safer in India by implementing level 2 autonomous technology in the trucking sector. The World Trade Centre Pune will also help the company grow globally with their network of connections.

The way that NuPort Robotics use to improve trucking systems is by deploying Level 2 autonomy, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), data analysis and driver suggestions. These will be implemented into commercial trucking operations such as regular long distance trucking, deliveries and other services so that the job is safer, more comfortable and more efficient. NuPort Robotics will partner with major truck manufacturers in India, especially focusing on electric trucks and vans. In that space at present are Tata, Mahindra, Daimler, Eicher, Kinetic, IPLT and E-Trio, among others.

Raghavender Sahdev, the co-founder of NuPort Robotics said, “Our expansion of operations into India is with a goal to improve road safety for heavy duty commercial vehicles.
