Onsemi Inks Long-Term Supply Agreement With ZEEKR For Silicon Carbide Power Devices

Premium electric mobility brand ZEEKR and onsemi, a pioneer in intelligent power and sensor technologies, have established a long-term supply agreement (LTSA). Onsemi will supply its EliteSiC silicon carbide (SiC) power devices to ZEEKR's smart electric cars (EVs) to raise the powertrain efficiency, leading to better performance, quicker charging times, and longer driving ranges.
 
ZEEKR will use onsemi EliteSiC MOSFET, 1200V, M3E with improved electrical and mechanical performance and reliability to serve its growing line of high-performance EVs. The size and weight of the traction inverter are reduced because to the improved power and thermal efficiency of these power devices, increasing the range of the automaker's electric vehicles.

The new LTSA will give both businesses the opportunity to forge a closer connection within the supply chain to assist ZEEKR's expansion during the ensuing ten years.
