To provide thought leadership, best practises, and solutions made specifically for professionals in the asset-intensive construction and engineering industries, PMI and Oracle Construction and Engineering have announced a relationship in which they will be able to combine their respective competencies. As the top source for project management information worldwide, PMI has recently expanded its services to support businesses and individuals in completing challenging construction projects on time, under budget, and securely.

“Oracle Construction and Engineering and PMI have a common goal: help transform the construction industry by delivering best-in-class resources to help professionals and organizations plan and build critical assets,” said Ben Breen, Global Director of Construction & Vice President, Asia Pacific at PMI. “With our complementary areas of expertise, this collaboration means we will be able to provide professionals in the construction sector with the training and digital tools they need to successfully deliver more impactful and efficient project outcomes.”

The Construction Professional in Built Environment Projects (PMI-CP)TM is a capstone certification that draws on best practises from the construction industry, construction industry organisations, and construction industry experts around the world. The non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by Oracle and PMI is intended to start with the integration of Oracle resources into the current coursework for the certification.

To build their digital technology products, Oracle, a leading contributor to construction research programmes, uses industry best practises. Their Oracle Smart Construction Platform gives them the visibility and control they need to coordinate project execution across projects, from project pursuit through planning, construction, and handover.

With a large network of people who share a passion for project management, PMI has been fighting for the profession of project management for more than 50 years.
