Oct 25, 2018 - The global database company, Oracle has decided to include Oracle Cloud Marketplace into its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console so that the customers can get most benefits from the partner’s application and solutions, as per a press release published by Oracle. Oracle cloud marketplace is an online tool made for marketing cloud business apps and professional services offered by Oracle cloud partners. In addition to that, Oracle added a new feature “Click to launch” into the Oracle cloud marketplace for customers to quickly utilize the turnkey applications offered by cloud partners. With the functionality, partners will easily be able to provide applications and services solutions to customers for development, test, pilot, and production deployments. Currently, more than 2500 Oracle business partners are using Oracle Cloud Marketplace and over 4500 partner applications are currently available at the platform.
“At Oracle, we continuously strive to make it easier for customers to explore, demo and launch applications in Oracle Cloud, whether they be innovative business applications from our growing ecosystem of partners or existing Oracle Applications,” said Kash Iftikhar, Vice President of Product and Strategy, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “The integration between Oracle Cloud Marketplace and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, leveraging our new Partner Image Catalog capabilities, further validates our commitment to both customers and partners, helping them easily deliver the best possible business solutions.”
To make Oracle cloud platform more convenient for its business partners and customers, Larry Ellison, Co-Founder, and CTO at Oracle, introduced a new Generation 2 Cloud in the Oracle Open World 2018. The cloud is geared with Oracle Autonomous database as well as advanced autonomous security. He also launched a few integrated security services, including WAF (Web Applications Firewall) which will protect the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure applications from the attacks of bots, Application attacks, and DDoS; it also responds to the attack by blocking it or sending alert to security operations teams for further operations. Then there is Key Management Service (KMS) which allows enterprises to encrypt data using keys that they control and offers centralized key management and key lifecycle monitoring capabilities.
