Singtel, a leading
telecommunications firm, is partnering with hitachi Digital, in order to combine telco’s Paragon platform with Hitachi’s expertise in artificial intelliagence (AI). Hitachi Digital will implement Paragon as part of the alliance at Hitachi Americas' Santa Clara
research and development (R&D) labs, followed by a pilot for Industry 4.0 use cases in a US factory.
Hitachi AI applications for quality assurance, workplace safety, immersive training, and preemptive maintenance on Paragon will be tested through the pilot. Paragon will be integrated with Hitachi industry cloud applications and digital services during the trial, allowing businesses to “transcend the limitations of complex, low-latency connectivity and productivity experiences”.
“Enterprises in the fast-growing Industry 4.0 sector depend on high quality, reliable connectivity to ensure smooth operations,” said Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Hitachi Digital, leveraging Paragon to manage its connectivity and cloud needs across Hitachi’s manufacturing facilities.
Chang is of the opinion that Singtel's suite of solutions for manufacturing businesses will be enhanced and able to transform their operations powered by AI by integrating Hitachi's advanced AI applications with Paragon's ecosystem.
Hitachi's pre-built industrial
AI applications, as well as the network and multi-cloud orchestration capabilities of the Paragon platform, will be used in the collaboration to create a number of Paragon-related offerings to assist clients in enhancing and speeding up their cloud operations.
