Design-focused technology services company Tata Elxsi announced its intention to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies to speed up the uptake of Software-defined Vehicles (SDV) for next-generation mobility solutions, utilizing Qualcomm's Snapdragon automotive platform. In this context, the company stated that it intends to leverage the Snapdragon Digital Chassis Virtual System-on-chips (VSoCs) to transform the SDV development process, allowing R&D teams to speed up software development and validation.
The firm announced it will present a live demonstration of its AVENIR SDV suite of solutions combined with Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC, which utilizes a cloud-native and virtualized method for automotive software development at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, US.
Tata Elxsi announced that through the planned technology collaboration, which will be showcased at CES 2025, it will create a virtual Electronic Control Unit (ECU) platform for automotive manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers utilizing Snapdragon VSoCs for next-gen mobility solutions across passenger, commercial, and off-highway vehicle categories.
