Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leader in IT services and consulting, has teamed up with Gujarat's Samagra Shiksha and Gujarat Council of School Education to train teachers and students in cutting-edge digital skills like computational and design thinking.

Ignite My Future and goIT, two of TCS's flagship worldwide initiatives, will reportedly be made available to students and teachers in Gujarat under the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, fostering the development of the next generation of creatives and innovators.

Through a novel methodology that incorporates computational thinking into foundational topics like math, science, reading, social studies, and the arts, TCS' Ignite My Future programme is a trailblazing initiative to empower educators around the world.

The programmes support the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and aim to instil in pupils a sense of global citizenship while also helping them develop empathy for pressing social challenges and developing their capacity for problem-solving.

The statement added that it also aims to increase student knowledge and get them ready for the new digital economy.

"We are happy to be a part of a project that seeks to enhance a student's education and assist them in developing digital skills. The partnership with the Gujarati government is an integral component of our wider goal of empowering individuals and communities. 14,486 schools in Gujarat will have access to our two flagship programmes, TCS Ignite My Future and goIT, according to a statement from TCS's global head of corporate social responsibility, Balaji Ganapathy.

"Through this teaching-learning process, we look forward to giving educators and students regional, national, and international venues to highlight some of their noteworthy achievements in their pursuit of computational thinking and design thinking. For the State Education Department to use as a resource team in the future, we are also aiming to find and assemble an expert team of instructors, Balaji Ganapathy continued.
