Telecom firm ZTE and Ooredoo Group renews partnership agreement for further five years

The global framework agreement between ZTE Corporation and Ooredoo Group has been expanded to cover the modernization of the Ooredoo Algeria network, related implementation and maintenance services, as well as the supply and delivery of lithium battery products. ZTE Corporation is a leading global provider of information and communication technology solutions.
 
The transport network will see increased cooperation between ZTE and Ooredoo, including the widespread commercial deployment of SRv6. With the new approach, the conventional transport network architecture will give way to a programmable, 5G-focused one.
 
In the area of energy, ZTE and Ooredoo will collaborate. Using ZTE's most recent, highly effective power system and Smart-Li batteries, Ooredoo will expand battery life while safeguarding current battery investment, improve energy consumption efficiency, and fulfil its social commitment to creating greener networks.
