Sanjay Dhotre, the Minister of State for Communication, Education and Electronics and Information Technology, on November 9th, 2020, announced the fourth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC).
This event is jointly conducted by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT), and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), is scheduled to take place in the period between 8th December and 10th December 2020.
It is expected that there will be 50+ countries with 110+ global speakers, startups, will participate, delivering 30 hours or more content for 15,000 visitors in a three days gap.
IMC released a statement saying, “2020’s theme is on ‘Inclusive Innovation – Smart, Secure, Sustainable’.” IMC 2020 is aimed at aligning Hon’ble Prime Ministers vision for the promotion of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Make in India, local manufacturing and drive for Make for the World), fostering international regional cooperation, inspiring Satat Bharat – Sanatan Bharat (Digital Inclusive in Connecting almost 6 lakh villages with optical fiber and sustainable development), promoting Samagra Bharat – Saksham Bharat (entrepreneurship & innovation), drive foreign and local investments, encouraging R&D in the Telecom and Emerging Technology sectors and facilitating supportive regulatory & policy frameworks.”
Shri Sanjay Dhotre, Minister for State for Communications, Education and Electronics & Information Technology, said, “We are firm believers that India Mobile Congress 2020 is going to showcase technology-driven initiatives, bringing all stakeholders together in the Telecommunications ecosystem and provide the right platform for valuable discourse on key topics relevant to policymakers, regulators and the industry.
