To connect all 45,945 village in Bihar, Prime Minister launches project with for Optical Fibre Internet Servic

Prime Minister on 15th August, 2020 had announced that the connectivity is to be taken up to all more than 6 Lakh villages which are from the existing GP level within 1000 days. Hence for the same, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the “हर गांव में ऑप्टिकल फाइबर द्वारा इंटरनेट सुविधा” project on 21.09.2020 as a first step towards this goal. Thus enabling digital revolution to reach the farthest corner of the State.

 

The Prime Minister also stated that the day would be a historic one for the entire country and not only for Bihar. Moreover, to make its villages the mainstay of AtmaNirbharBharat and that this is starting from Bihar today, the Government is taking more steps. 

He has also said that India is one of the leading countries in the world today when it comes to digital transactions. In August 2020 itself, about Rs 3 Lakh Crore worth transactions were made through UPI.

Also, in order to achieve the dreams of Digital Gram as announced by the Prime Minister, the Optical Fibre Village Connectivity project has been launched by the Department of Telecommunications.

Objective of the Project is solely to change villages into completely digital-driven places so as to enhance Digital empowerment/awareness while also bridge the current digital divide. Hence leading towards inclusive socio-economic growth for rural masses.
