Video Meet App Google Duo Arriving On Android TVThe technology makers, Google recently announced the plans of releasing a beta version of its application Duo video conferencing application for Android television in the coming weeks. Through this, users will be able to take one-on-one and group video calls from their camera-equipped connected televisions.

The combination of the consumer video conferencing application, Duo with Android television traverses the same path of Chromecast support to its professional-grade conferencing application – Meet, which allows users to ‘cast’ meetings using laptops and phones to Chromecast equipped monitors.

The Group Product Manager for Google Meet hardware, TJ Varghese, in a company blog post, said, “It’s become an indispensable tool, one we all use more than we likely would have imagined. But meeting fatigue is probably hitting you hard in the afternoon. Using the right devices can make a big difference in making video calls more enjoyable and engaging. Here are a few new ways to use Google Meet and Duo across a series of new devices to create a better meeting experience.”

Supported by the Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, and other smart displays, which allow Google’s software implementation, Google is now expanding the Google Duo application with the surging connected TV platform. This will keep the multinational company in the race with the other video conferencing applications of Zoom and Microsoft.
