Weber Drivetrain partners with Wuxi Lingbo to manufacture Controller, BMS for e-bikes

Indian EV startup Weber Drivetrain established a strategic technology transfer (TT) relationship with Wuxi Lingbo Electronic Technology in China. As part of the cooperation, Weber Drivetrain is committed to making the controller and BMS for electric two-wheeler cars entirely in India.
 
In addition to all design, architectural, layout, hardware, and software designs, Wuxi Lingbo has granted the EV startup two novel patent technologies, marking the beginning of a new phase of development for the Indian EV market.
 
"As there is significant pent-up customer demand for us to fulfil, the technology transfer will be valuable for the advancement and upgradation of controller and BMS for electric vehicles. We also believe that this strategic investment will further deepen our partnership with Wuxi Lingbo in advancing innovation in the electric two-wheelers segment in India," Prashant Shete, Founder and MD, Weber Drivetrain, said in a statement.
 
The business said that it is prepared to launch its line of products by January 2023.

The launch of Weber Drivetrain's cutting-edge automated manufacturing plant situated in Chakan MIDC, Pune, this month marked the company's entry into the Indian EV industry, according to the business.
