Angan Guha has been named the new CEO and managing director of mid-sized IT company Birlasoft, effective December 1, 2022. Guha will become a full-time Director on the Birlasoft Board and will be based in the US.
He will be replacing Dharmender Kapoor who has stepped down from his role. Incidentally, Kapoor got a three year extension at the helm in June.
Guha will provide strategic leadership to Birlasoft, driving significant scale and transformation, according to a press release. "He will focus on building the organization through innovation to strengthen niche capabilities, enhance customer intimacy, and significantly expand the revenue base and profitability in high growth and strategic focus areas for Birlasoft," the Pune-based company said.
Guha joins Birlasoft after serving for 28 years at Wipro, where he was last the chief executive officer for the Americas 2 strategic market unit and served on its executive board.
