One of the largest energy corporations in Europe, E.ON, and FPT Software announced their alliance. The two parties are looking to expand their cooperation by exploring the possibility of setting up a delivery center in Vietnam in the future.
The possibility of creating an offshore development center (ODC) in Vietnam for technologies like SAP, DevOps, Data Analytics, and AI is being given attention by E.ON due to Vietnam's potential as a developing digital nation and the already-existing cooperation with FPT Software. To maintain business resilience and agility, the future ODC is anticipated to assist E.ON in diversifying its distribution sites. FPT Software intends to take advantage of this opportunity by using its best-shore delivery approach across a broad network across Europe and Asia to offer E.ON round-the-clock assistance, cost efficiency, and workforce scalability.
While on a recent trip to Vietnam, E.ON officials visited FPT Software campuses and FPT University to learn more about the company's resources and programs for training the future generation of IT experts.
Additionally, both businesses have the same goals for inclusion, equity, and diversity in the workplace. Specifically, Chu Thi Thanh Ha, chairwoman of FPT Software, and Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of E.ON participated in a talk titled "Women in Tech: Break through the Barriers" to talk about women's role in IT organizations and career advancement opportunities for female employees.
“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with E.ON. Our joint efforts in sustainability development and shared vision in digital transformation will surely bring greater values to both companies,” said FPT Software Europe’s Chief Executive Officer Le Hai.
E.ON’s Chief Operating Officer Victoria Ossadnik expressed satisfaction with the trip’s outcomes. “It would be a big mistake for E.ON not to visit Vietnam,” she said.
