Another business professional of Indian descent is currently working at the corner office of a premier US MNC.
Vimal Kapur, who has more than three decades of expertise managing the diverse manufacturer's numerous operations, will follow Darius Adamczyk as CEO, according to Honeywell International.
On June 1, the 57-year-old Kapur will assume the leadership position, almost 10 months after being named Honeywell's president and chief operating officer.
Following the completion of his studies in India, Kapur joined the organisation. He earned his degree in electrical engineering with a focus in instrumentation from the Thapar Institute of Engineering in Patiala.
He formerly served as the CEO of the business units for performance materials and technologies as well as building technology. In addition, Kapur is in charge of the Honeywell Accelerator operating system, which employs a number of tools, procedures, and best practises to boost productivity.
"Honeywell's next operational evolution, under Vimal's leadership, will be the incorporation of Accelerator and standardisation of global business models to enable maximal performance in each business segment," Adamczyk said in a statement.
According to a regulatory filing from the business, Adamczyk, who has been Honeywell's CEO since 2017, will continue to hold the position of executive chairman and receive a base salary of $1.3 million. Honeywell announced that Kapur's base pay as CEO will be $1.5 million. Also, he has held the position of managing director for Honeywell Automation India (HAIL).
