Reaffirms commitment towards being a diversity-focussed and family-friendly employer
KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
• Enhanced Maternity leave: Maternity leave is increased from 84 calendar days to 150 calendar days (5 months)
• Gradual Return from Maternity Program: Women employees returning from maternity will be entitled to work part-time on full pay for up to 1 month (30 calendar days) post their return to work
• Enhanced Paternity leave: Paternity leave is increased from 5 working days to 10 working days (2 weeks)
• Adoption leave: Increased to 10 working days for male employees and 150 calendar days for women employees in line with Maternity and Paternity Programs
Bengaluru, August 25, 2015:Intel India today announced important changes to its employee benefit programs, reaffirming its commitment towards being a diversity-focused and family-friendly employer. These changes are effective 1st September, 2015.
The recent changes aim to bolster Intel India’semployee benefit offerings in the maternity, paternity and adoption space, while boosting the overall experiences of women employees who are new or soon-to-be-mothers. Women employees at Intel India now have a suite of benefits available to them, which can enhance their over all experience, from pre-delivery, post-delivery until return to work. Further to the roll-out of the enhanced benefits, Intel will continue to seek feedback from employees and explore further enhancements to the benefit offerings.

Intel India’s other family-friendly benefits include Day Care discounts, maternity hospitalization coverage, bereavement leave, short term sick leave that can also be used to take care of ailing dependents, life and accident insurance cover, medical insurance programs that also cover parents/in-laws, Health For Life program, interest-free salary advance for personal emergencies, and free counselling sessions for both employees and their dependents through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
