Wipro, the fourth largest IT services firm in India, has secured a multi-million-dollar contract for a five-year period from Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, to spearhead its technology modernization, the company revealed on Thursday. The monetary aspects of the agreement were kept confidential.
“Wipro will ensure seamless migration of legacy systems and improve operational efficiency across key areas, including workplace, network, infrastructure, and service management,” Wipro said in a statement.
Under the five-year agreement, Wipro FullStride Cloud will provide a tailored cloud solution that equips Etihad Airways with real-time insights into resource usage, enhancing operational agility and scalability for their worldwide operations, it stated.
The company emphasized that the agreement is included in the deal bookings for the third quarter.
“We are excited to embark on this journey with Etihad Airways and enable them to adapt to the dynamic needs of the aviation industry. Through our proven expertise in digital transformation and AI-powered solutions, we will deliver seamless, efficient and innovative services to their customers,” said Vinay Firake, CEO – Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), Wipro.
Furthermore, Etihad Airways will obtain entry to Wipro's Innovation Lab in the UAE for its technological solutions. Wipro will utilize its generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) modules to offer smart device management and insights that will enhance performance and address potential disruptions proactively.
