Bain & Company and OpenAI, the research and development firm behind the ChatGPT, DALLE, and Codex AI technologies that are revolutionising human interaction with technology, announced a global services agreement.
The partnership expands on Bain's use of OpenAI technology for its 18,000-person, multidisciplinary knowledge workforce. Bain has integrated OpenAI technology into its own knowledge management systems, research, and operations during the past year to increase productivity.
As a result of the initial successes of those efforts, Bain and OpenAI are collaborating to make OpenAI's ground-breaking capabilities available to all of its clients worldwide. Through the agreement, Bain will be able to assist its clients globally in recognising and implementing the value of AI in order to maximise business potential by fusing their strong digital implementation capabilities and strategic knowledge with OpenAI's AI tools and platforms, including ChatGPT. The first business to participate in the new alliance is The Coca-Cola Corporation.
"AI has reached an inflection point and we foresee a huge wave of change and innovation for our clients across industries. We see this as an industrial revolution for knowledge work, and a moment where all our clients will need to rethink their business architectures and adapt. By collaborating with OpenAI, we're delighted to have unmatched access to state-of-the-art foundation AI models, so that we can create tailored digital solutions for our clients and help them realize business value," said Manny Maceda, Bain & Company's Worldwide Managing Partner.
"We're thrilled to be working with Bain to deliver real value to our large enterprise customers," said Zack Kass, Head of Go-To-Market at OpenAI. "OpenAI's technology combined with Bain's expertise will enable massive business transformation within the Fortune 5,000. Bain's internal adoption of this technology is also setting a standard for their clients to follow."
Bain and OpenAI are working together to integrate AI into the operations of their clients and to assist the necessary adjustments to advance technology, procedures, the operating model, and data assets. Prominent use cases being created in collaboration with clients include:
To support sales and service employees with automated, tailored, and real-time scripts and to enhance customer experience, next generation contact centres are being built for retail banks, telco, and utility businesses.
Using ChatGPT and DALLE to create highly tailored ad copy, rich images, and targeted message can speed up turnaround time for top product and service marketers.
generating digital communication and analysing client conversations and financial literature to assist financial advisers in increasing efficiency and client responsiveness.
The Coca-Cola Company's involvement in the partnership as the first corporation to do so makes Bain and OpenAI very happy. The adoption of OpenAI's technology by Coca-Cola represents one of the company's most ambitious plans, according to Kass of OpenAI. Coca-Cola is utilising ChatGPT and DALL-E to enhance its already top-notch brands, marketing, and customer experiences in ways that set the standard for the industry.
"We are excited to unleash the next generation of creativity offered by this rapidly emerging technology," said James Quincey, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company. "We see opportunities to enhance our marketing through cutting-edge AI, along with exploring ways to improve our business operations and capabilities."
Bain and OpenAI are collaborating with clients in the software industry, including the top companies in financial operations, human resources, customer relationship management, marketing, digital commerce, and service operations, to improve their offerings in recognition of the profound impact that AI advancements will have on enterprise software products.
"This hugely exciting partnership is going to help us deliver more powerful AI solutions to our clients, and help them win as their industries transform with this generational shift in technology capability," said Roy Singh, global head of Bain & Company's Advanced Analytics practice. "By pairing OpenAI's AI technology platform with Bain's industry expertise and its team of engineers, data scientists, product managers and consultants, our clients will be able to identify the right business opportunities and implement them rapidly."
