Indosat partners with AIonOS to boost AI growth in Indonesia

Indonesian Digital telecommunications organization Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) on January 27th 2025 signed a MoU with India-based AIonOS in order to change Indonesia's AI Ecosystem, one of the releases stated.

The MoU represents the first large-scale AI-focused partnership among two countries, which symbolizes a shared commitment for leveraging the power of artificial intelligence with an aim to drive innovation, economic growth as well as sociocultural change.   

AIonOS, which is a joint venture among InterGlobe and Assago Group, is committed to changing businesses into artificial intelligence led enterprises while Indosat is the leading telecommunications provider of Indonesia.

CP Gurnani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, AIonOS, said, "By leveraging Indosat's local expertise with AIonOS's AI innovations, this initiative aims to empower Indonesians with AI skills, boost growth in key sectors like tourism and sustainable agriculture, and strengthen Indonesia's human capital to drive its digital transformation. As per the release, the partnership aims to make transformative solutions, particularly in segments such as tourism, knowledge economy, and sustainable agriculture, driving innovations which can reshape the country's advanced economy as well as strengthen its global competitiveness.
