Cloud communications firm Route Mobile said it has opened a new research & development (R&D) lab, RouteLab, spread over 20,000 sq. ft. in Bangalore.
RouteLab will also serve as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for developing solutions in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), blockchain, mobile identity, and more.
“The innovations emerging out of the R&D centre will help Route Mobile deepen engagement between enterprises and their customers. RouteLab will also serve as a centre where its developers will co-create solutions with enterprises and operators,” the company said in a statement.
In March a report indicated Route Mobile’s plan to open a new R&D lab in India’s Silicon Valley, Bangalore.
“RouteLab CoE in Bangalore will give an option to leverage top-rated capabilities of our CPaaS platform and new-edge solutions, while unlocking amplified agility, scalability and resilience,” said Rajdipkumar Gupta, Managing Director and Group CEO.
Route Mobile's research & development is out of Mumbai, Colombia, and Malta. In India, over 55 employees work in R&D for the company, and over 98 employees work overseas towards R&D.
