By 2025, the need for highly specialized tech positions, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning (ML), data analytics, and cloud technologies, is anticipated to rise by 30-35 percent due to the growing dependence on new technologies. The IT industry, currently recovering, is projected to see a 15-20 percent increase in job openings in different sectors by 2025, according to talent solutions firm NLB Services.

NLB Services stated that the IT sector has regained its momentum in the second half of 2024 and is preparing for a bright 2025 in various aspects.

In the upcoming year, the recruitment of fresh talent in the Indian IT sector is expected to see considerable growth, with a projected rise of 15-20 percent in job openings across different industries, it further noted.

This increase in demand goes beyond just hiring; it also involves a strategic emphasis on tech upskilling, as companies are heavily investing in training programs to prepare their employees with the essential skills needed to adapt to the changing technological environment, the company observed.

The analysis conducted by NLB Services considers the brand's perspective on the macro ecosystem, industry trends, and consumer demand. Additionally, the firm mentioned that campus recruitment continues to be the primary emphasis for major corporations aiming to hire vigorously in the latter half of 2024-25.

Since the 2021-22 global economic slowdown, clients have reduced their discretionary spending because of on-demand hiring trends and worldwide macroeconomic issues, which has affected the project pipeline; however, stabilization is anticipated in 2025, offering hope for freshers, it stated.
